Escalada

You're a little flame. The mountain is made of ice. You can guess the rest. 🔥🧊

Escalada is a vertical platformer inspired by the arcade classics. Climb floor by floor shooting fireballs upward: they melt the ice and open your way. But watch out: rock won't melt, the snowballs are grumpy and the water is rising. Water puts out fire, so keep moving!

The higher you go, the harder it gets. Every 25 floors the map changes, with new critters and hazards:

• 🧊 Ice Mountain: snowballs and falling water drops
• ⚙️ Metal Factory: robots, buzz saws and metal that takes 2 shots
• 🌳 Enchanted Forest: wood that catches fire, bouncy mushrooms and carnivorous plants
• 💎 Crystal Cave: darkness, bats and stalactites
• ⛈️ Stormy Sky: wind, lightning, birds and vanishing clouds

How to play

• The fireball melts the first ice block above you. Rock won't melt.
• You have 3 hearts ❤️❤️❤️. Critters, drops, saws, stalactites and lightning take 1 heart. Defeat critters with a fireball or by jumping on them.
• Grab power-ups on the floors: 🔥 super fire (goes through 3 blocks and melts even rock), ⬆️ high jump and ❤️ extra heart.
• The water starts slow and speeds up as you climb. Touch it and you're out!
• The gauge on the left shows the rising water and how many floors until it reaches you.
• Hold jump to go higher.
• In the factory, jump over the saws and shoot metal twice. In the forest, careful: fire spreads through the wood. In the cave, your fireballs light the way. In the storm, don't stand still on the clouds!
• Score: 100 per floor, 10 per melted block, 50 per critter. Your best score is saved.

Plays in desktop and mobile browsers. Gamepads are supported too. The game pauses by itself when you switch apps or windows.
